To support the company’s ever-growing online business, Toys ‘R’ Us is opening a new e-commerce distribution center in Nevada.
The Reno-based McCarran Fulfillment Center will service Toysrus.com and Babiesrus.com customers across the western region of the US. The center is scheduled to open in July and will employ up to 350 employees.
The new center is indicative of the toy retailer’s burgeoning e-commerce business, which is fueled by a multi-channel strategy that allows customers to shop in stores, online and on mobile devices. Once the distribution center becomes functional, the company will have a total of 12 facilities for store distribution and e-commerce fulfillment.
