ZDF and DQ Entertainment to produce new series

ZDF Enterprises has inked a new agreement with DQ Entertainment to produce a new 3D Stereoscopic HD TV series.

ZDF Enterprises has inked an agreement with DQ Entertainment to produce a new 3D Stereoscopic HD TV series.

5 &IT is an adventure series that follows five children after they unearth and befriend a sand fairy named Psammead.

The multi-million dollar deal will see the partners develop, produce and distribute the series that is targeting a six to 10 year old demo and is based on a book by Edith Nesbit.

ZDF Enterprises is distributing the TV series projected to cost approximately US$13 million and holds distribution rights in 64 countries, including Western and Eastern Europe (excluding French speaking Europe, UK and Ireland) South Africa and Latin America. DQE is presently in discussion with broadcasters worldwide for TV broadcast.
