Driver Dan’s Story Train supports UK literacy

CBeebies preschool series Driver Dan’s Story Train, produced by 3Line Media in association with twofour54 Abu Dhabi, is the focus of a new UK-based reading campaign.

The series’ production partners, along with Macmillan Children’s Books, are donating US$1,500 to the Volunteer Reading Help initiative to cover the cost of training and providing resources for two reading helpers to provide twice-weekly support sessions for one school year. Volunteer Reading helpers visit schools in three regions of England providing one-to-one support to children who have fallen behind with their reading.

On top of the financial support for two volunteer readers, Driver Dan’s Story Train will work closely with the VRH on product resources and potential live event capability to promote awareness and fundraising activities.

Storytelling is at the heart of Driver Dan’s Story Train, which combines animation and live action.
