Video game publisher Atari has filed a US$30 million federal lawsuit against Tommo Video Game Distribution for willful copyright infringement, trademark infringement and unfair competition related to sales and manufacturing of counterfeit products.
Atari is attempting to put a stop to the sale of unauthorized copies of the plug and play Flashback 2 console, the successor to Atari’s original 2600 console, manufactured by Tommo. The original Flashback 2 was released in 2005 and contains 40 game titles.
