Live-action children’s drama series My Place is back on the scene with 13 new episodes.
Preceding the launch of My Place 2 at next month’s MIPCOM Junior in Cannes, France, new sales of both season one and two have been confirmed with Australia Network and Public Broadcasting Services Malta. Australia Network will broadcast the series to more than 44 countries across Asia, the Pacific and Indian subcontinent. Series two is currently screening on Australia’s ABC, while the first series has been picked up by RTP (Portugal), SVT Sveriges Television (Sweden) and NRK (Norway). Qantas and Qatar Airways have also licensed the series as part of their in-flight entertainment.
Produced by Matchbox Pictures and based on the classic Australian picture book by Nadia Wheatley and Donna Rawlins, My Place depicts the history of one piece of land in Sydney through the eyes of the children who lived there.
In My Place series two, each episode will continue to go back in time at 10-year intervals beginning in 1878 to before European Settlement.
