Sesame Workshop, the producer of Sesame Street, has upped Renee Mascara to VP of international media distribution, where she will be responsible for expanding and strengthening the company’s home video and international publishing business, alongside overseeing the television sales and distribution business.
Mascara will also continue to oversee the organization’s presence, including securing booth space and ad buys, at television trade shows such as DISCOP, MIPTV, MIPCOM, and NATPE.
Mascara has been part of the Sesame family for more than 25 years. She most recently served as VP of international television distribution, managing television program sales in the US Hispanic market, Canada, Europe, Latin America, Caribbean, Asia, Armed Forces Radio & Television Services and inflight. She is credited with expanding Sesame Workshop’s presence in Latin America through a digital VOD deal with DLA, Inc. Redefining Entertainment.
Before arriving at the Workshop, Mascara spent four years at Columbia Pictures International.
