PBS Kids has expanded its Video iPad App to the iPhone and iPod Touch. Since launching in May for the iPad, the app has streamed more than 430 million free educational videos and has had more than 450,000 downloads.

The new iPhone and iPod Touch-compatible apps offer free streaming access to more than 2,000 videos – including clips and full episodes – from an array of PBS Kids series like Dinosaur Train, Sesame Street and Super Why. The expansion to new mobile devices is timed with a recent PBS survey that showed 74% of parents rank educational value as one of the top reasons for purchase when choosing smartphone apps.
