Playing on the trend of hands-free entertainment, ABC TV’s video on-demand service, iview, has launched on the Xbox Live platform, giving the pubcaster’s Australian viewers a new interactive experience.

After downloading the ABC iview app on the Xbox console through Kinect for Xbox 360, viewers will now be able to search, browse and select full-length, ad-free programs, including preschool series Bananas in Pyjamas, by using their voice or waving their hand.

The family-focused and social initiative brings hundreds of programs from across all of ABC TV’s channels to the hands-free gaming console. ABC iview is already available on computers, mobile devices, connected TVs, select gaming consoles and other connected platforms.
