Tokyo-based production studio Toei Animation has secured a master licensing and merchandising deal with Brazilian manufacturer Abr-Art Bag Rio Comercio Importacao e Exportacao to produce a line of consumer products based on Japanese manga series Dragon Ball Z.

Products will include backpacks, pencil cases, lunch bags and aprons for children.

The deal continues the growth of the Dragon Ball Z brand and comes after the series celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2009 and saw its updated series, Dragon Ball Z Kai, picked up in the US by New York City-based 4Kids Entertainment in a deal with FUNimation Entertainment and Toei Animation.
