Canadian kidcaster Teletoon has entered into a development deal with Toronto’s Guru Studio for  a new 26 x 22-minuted animated series Nemesis.

The series, created by Jamie Waese (Cookie Jar’s Mudpit), targets kids ages seven to 11 and follows the comical misadventures and schoolyard politics of two groups of kids at their school, Palmerston Primary.

The series, which is set to go into production this year, features characters Blade and Josh, two former friends who become archenemies and lead the two groups of friends.

Guru also produces preschool series Justin Time, which has recently moved into mobile games.
