Cake’s Oscar ventures to YTV

London, UK-based family entertainment specialist Cake Entertainment has sold CGI toon Oscar's Oasis, for kids ages six to 11, to Canada's YTV, where it will air Monday to Friday at 1 p.m.

London, UK-based family entertainment specialist Cake Entertainment has sold CGI toon Oscar’s Oasis, for kids ages six to 11, to Canada’s YTV, where it will air Monday to Friday at 1 p.m.

The comedy series, which follows the adventures of desert-dwelling, water and food-seeking Oscar the lizard, has already been sold to a number of global territories including  Cartoon Network Latin America, Disney Asia, Rai (Italy), PT CIPTA TPI (Indonesia), 2×2 Channel (Russia), YLE (Finland), ATV (Turkey), S4C Wales (Wales), SVT (Sweden), QTV (Ukraine), MBC (Middle East), SFDRS (Switzerland), Canal Once (Mexico) and TV Bandeirantes (Brazil).

Cake produces Oscar’s Oasis, and additional projects including Plankton Invasion, Angelo Rules and Hareport, in collaboration with Paris, France-based independent studio TeamTO.

Oscar’s Oasis has also been sold to Disney Channel in Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand.
