Preschool channel JimJam, part of international broadcaster Chello Zone, has acquired three new nature-themed children’s programs.
Czech production My Animal Family (26 x 15 minutes), which was acquired from Big Media and uses wildlife footage showing children the lives of baby animals and their families, will be available across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia from April 2012 to all of JimJam’s 16 million subscribers.
Animated series Conch Bay (65 x half hours), from Medianetwork Communication SPA, follows the underwater adventures of a young boy with amphibian attributes who has a dolphin mother and marine friends. The series will air from February on JimJam’s Italian feed, Sky Italia, to approximately four million subscribers.
Chinese CGI-animated series Magic Wonderland (26 x half hours), which will air in March and was also acquired from Medianetwork Communication SPA, is set on an exotic island and follows a young girl, Ocean, and her grandmother as they enter a magical world of wizards and fairies.
JimJam, which launched in 2006 and is available in 11 languages, now airs in more than 50 territories including Romania, Poland, Russia, Hungary, Switzerland, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, the Middle East, Singapore and Indonesia.
