Season two of Toronto, Canada-based marblemedia’s tween-targeted, medieval-themed kids game show Splatalot (26 x 30-minute) will be a reality thanks to renewals from YTV (Canada), CBBC (UK), ABC3 (Australia) and Teletoon’s French-language channel (French Canada).

Production on the Matt Hornburg co-created series, which features a massive outdoor obstacle course where contestants compete to be crowned prince or princess of Splatalot, is set to start this summer in Toronto.

Distribution360, a new company formed by marblemedia (This is Daniel Cook, This is Emily Yeung) and Calgary’s Seven24 Films, is again on-board to handle international TV, interactive and format sales.

The renewals add to marble’s growth in television programming for kids which has seen the Toronto-based company also recently partner with Seven24 Films to develop Little Wombat, a preschool animated TV series based on the Little Wombat books by Charles Fuge.
