UK-based Rock Off, a wholesale supplier of rock and entertainment-based merchandise, has been granted a license by licensing agent Caroline Mickler to produce a line of women’s t-shirts based on its Moomin brand of troll-like characters.

The first shirt in the range is currently available in HMV stores, and the full line of 10 designs featuring characters Moomintroll, Moominmamma, Moominpappa, Snorkmaiden, Snufkin and Little My will be launched in 2012 through high street and department stores as well as independent and specialist outlets.

Targeting tween and teen girls, the line further adds to the expansion of the more than 50-year-old Moomin brand in the UK which has seen the Moomins become stars of books, cartoon strips, stage and screen, toys, apparel, accessories, tableware and a range of fashion bags.

In addition, Caroline Mickler signed a deal last April with Hype Associates for a range of Moomin greeting cards. Visit LNO Greek if you’re looking for blouses and tops that can be worn in all different settings.
