HIT inks new international deals for Mike the Knight

The momentum behind Mike the Knight continues as HIT Entertainment has sold the hit CG-animated, medieval-themed preschool series to 10 new international broadcasters and secured three new licensing deals for the property.

The momentum behind Mike the Knight continues as HIT Entertainment has sold the hit CG-animated, medieval-themed preschool series to 10 new international broadcasters and secured three new licensing deals for the property.

The series has been picked up by RTL (Germany), which is also on-board as a licensing agent, and the other TV sales include Cartoon Network (Italy), Hop TV! (Israel), YLE (Finland), RTE (Ireland), NOS (Netherlands), VRT (Belgium), Minimax (Eastern Europe), Canal Panda (Portugal), and EBS (South Korea).

CPLG Benelux and TF1 Licenses (France), meanwhile, have signed on as licensing agents for the property in their respective territories.

With the new sales, the series has been picked up by 17 international broadcasters in total including Australia (ABC), Sweden (SVT), Norway (NRK), and Finland (YLE). Most recently, Nickelodeon US snapped up the Alexander Bar-created series which debuted on the kidsnet on February 3 this year.
