Canuck broadcasters pick up Jelly Jamm

Madrid, Spain-based prodco Vodka Capital has secured two free-to-air TV deals with Tele-Quebec (Quebec, Canada) and TVOKids (Ontario, Canada) for its CG-animated, preschool musical comedy series Jelly Jamm (52 x 11 minutes).

Madrid, Spain-based prodco Vodka Capital has secured two free-to-air TV deals with Tele-Quebec (Quebec, Canada) and TVOKids (Ontario, Canada) for its CG-animated, preschool musical comedy series Jelly Jamm (52 x 11 minutes).

The series, which follows the adventures of five friends living on a magical planet where music originated, will premiere on the two Canadian networks this spring and additional spring debuts include Canal 5/Televisa (Mexico) and RTP 2 (Portugal).

The new deals add to an expanding list of broadcasters that have acquired the series which now airs in more than 150 countries.

It currently airs on pay TV on Cartoonito (Turner) across EMEA, Discovery Kids (LATAM) Clan/RTVE (free TV in Spain), Milkshake/Channel 5 (UK), Cartoonito (Italy), Cartoon Network (Turkey), and Cartoon Network Arabic (Middle East).

Vodka has also expanded its L&M program for the Jelly Jam brand after a recent deal with Exim Licensing Group which will bring music, toys, DVDs, merchandising, videogames, books and an online edutainment website to Latin America.

Other licensees already on board include Bandai (European and US master toy), Big Picture (DVDs for Southern Europe), Planeta (books in Spain, Portugal, Italy and LATAM), Turner Enterprises (L&M across EMEA), El Ocho (Spain and Portugal), and Televisa Consumer Products (Mexcio).

Jelly Jamm is co-produced by Vodka, Spanish prodco 737 Shaker, pubcaster RTVE (Radio Television Española) and Big Picture Productions.
