Turner Broadcasting has acquired broadcasting rights to all 14 half-hour episodes of original live-action comedy series Mr. Bean from London-based prodco Tiger Aspect Productions.

With plans to air the series on Cartoon Network and Boomerang in the UK, Turner further boosts its Boomerang lineup and adds to its comedy programming lineup on Cartoon Network, which already includes hit kids animated series The Amazing World of Gumball and Adventure Time.

The original Mr. Bean series, featuring the bumbling antics of British comedian and actor, Rowan Atkinson, and Cartoon Network’s animated version (produced by Tiger Aspect in association with Richard Purdum Productions and Varga Holdings) have been seen in more than 190 countries worldwide.

The animated series has been viewed by six million people since its debut on Boomerang in fall 2010.
