In a move to make its hit preschool brand more interactive, Spanish media company Zinkia Entertainment and its development partner Genera Interactive have launched Talking Pocoyo, with features including a 3D animated Pocoyo, voice recognition and video recording.

The new app, which also incorporates dance and music and is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, French, German and Italian for iOS devices, lets kids talk to the property’s main character, who will repeat anything that is said to him. He also reacts when kids poke or tickle him using the touchscreen.

The latest app hits the market just as the first Pocoyo app, Pocoyize, racks up more than 14 million downloads via iTunes and online since its debut in summer 2010.

Talking Pocoyo is now one of seven My Talking Toys apps developed by Genera, and the first to feature a kids entertainment IP. The others are Talking Teddy Bear, Talking Rapper, Talking Cowboy, Talking Pirate, Talking Gingerbread and Talking Princess.
