The Canadian CG-animated feature films Dex Hamilton and Tossed in Space, from Toronto-based digital entertainment producer March Entertainment, are headed to Germany.
German brand management and media company m4e AG has acquired worldwide TV and home entertainment distribution rights, excluding North America and Australia, to the film properties.
Dex Hamilton, a sci-fi adventure about a 31st-century entomologist for kids ages six to 12, is scheduled for release this summer.
The film is based on the animated Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist series which currently airs on the CBC Kids morning programming block.
According to March Entertainment, the film is a total reimagining of the Dex brand as a CG feature, in contrast to a previous film, Dex Hamilton: Fire and Ice, that included some flattened 3D elements.
Tossed in Space, a futuristic sci-fi comedy for kids ages eight to 16, is slated for release in the fall.
