Pretty Ugly inks new licensing deals

Edison, New Jersey-based Pretty Ugly has signed a raft of deals with new licensing partners for its Uglydoll brand across a number of consumer product categories.

Edison, New Jersey-based Pretty Ugly has signed a raft of deals with new licensing partners for its Uglydoll brand across a number of consumer product categories.

New licensees on board include Callaway Digital Arts (mobile apps based on Uglyverse), Amscan (party supplies, ceramic ware, balloons), FAB*Starpoint (backpacks, messenger bags, handbags, totes, cosmetic bags, wallets, coin purses, zipper pulls, lunch bags, luggage), Accessory Innovations (fashion headwear, cold weather accessories, hosiery, umbrellas), and Thermos (FUNtainer products, lunch accessories and kits).

Additional deals were secured with Zak Designs (children’s dinnerware, flatware, drinkware), Freeze (all ages branded apparel), Komar (children’s sleepwear), Richard Leeds International (junior’s and women’s sleepwear), United Legwear (socks, bodywear), Toy Factory (branded products for amusement parks), and Thumbtack Press (art prints).

The latest deals see the brand, which launched in 2002 after David Horvath and  Sun-Min Kim created the first hand-sewn plush Uglydoll toy in 2001, expand further in retail stores across the world.
