Sesame Workshop has promoted Erica Branch-Ridley to VP and executive in charge of production for Sesame Learning.

In her new role reporting to Sesame Learning VP Laura Smith, Branch-Ridley will work across multiple platforms connecting various Sesame Workshop departments and focus on emerging technologies and the educational impact of Sesame Street content in preschool environments.

She most recently served as the assistant VP and supervising producer of The Electric Company Digital and originally joined the Workshop in 2008 as the broadband supervising producer for The Electric Company.

Prior to her time at the Workshop, Branch-Ridley was an executive producer and senior director of TV Land Digital where she led creative direction and production for both the TV Land and Nick-at-Nite websites.

The latest promotion comes almost a month after the Workshop tapped former Nick exec Tom Ascheim to become EVP of Sesame Learning and fill its newly created position of chief strategy officer.
