In a new three-year deal, L.A.’s A Squared Elxsi Entertainment, a joint-venture between A Squared Entertainment and Tata Elxsi, has appointed Toronto-based agency Kaleidoscope Entertainment as distributor for all A2E2 kids content in Canada.

The deal will see Kaleidoscope execute distribution of A2E2’s properties including the Warren Buffett animated series Secret Millionaires Club, Martha Stewart’s Martha & Friends, Stan Lee’s new superhero series Stan Lee and the Mighty 7, and Gisele & the Green Team, starring super model Gisele Bundchen, to Canadian broadcasters across free, pay and non-linear TV channels in both English and French.

The representation deal, which covers programming only, will also see Kaleidoscope founder Randy Zalken report to A2E2’s president of international, Paul Robinson, who is responsible for content distribution, acquisitions and brand licensing for the company.

Regarding consumer products, A2E2’s in-house licensing team will continue to look for opportunities to extend its brands into sectors such as toys, digital products, books and apparel into the Canadian market and globally.
