Canadian prodco Nerd Corps Entertainment has landed California’s Jakks Pacific as  master toy licensee for its upcoming boys action series Slugterra, a sci-fi action-comedy that is set to air on Disney XD in the US this fall.

The new line targeting boys six to 11 includes action figures and accessories, vehicles, playsets, role-play, novelties and plush.

And Nerd Corps’ new head of licensing Juli Boylan is putting her years of studio CP experience to work on further building out the largely mass-market program.

The plan is to launch the program with the Jakks toys in March 2013, backed by a yet-to-be-revealed publishing partner and iOs games created in-house at Nerd Corps. In Las Vegas next week, Boylan will be on the lookout for apparel, sleepwear and back-to-school licensees to roll out product for fall 2013. And as Disney XD has picked up the series globally, she’s also scouting for agents in key international territories.
