London-based Hoho Rights, the commercial arm of Hoho Entertainment in London, has been appointed by animation prodco Dinamo Productions to manage international TV and licensing rights for their new 52 x 11-minute, mixed media preschool show, Abadas.

Abadas, a coproduction between Cardiff, Wales-based Dinamo and Dublin, Ireland’s Kavaleer Productions, currently airs on CBeebies where children learn language through play. Each episode begins when Ben, the 6-year-old narrator, opens his magical pop-up book to look for his friends and leads to a visual word game. Ben introduces the word and helps the characters, through a series of clues, to find the related object. The series is a mix of 2D, CG/photo montage and vector-based animation with live action top and tail.

Hoho Rights, co-founded by Oliver Ellis and Helen Howells, manages the distribution of TV, DVD and all other ancillary rights to both in-house produced shows such as Cloudbabies and other third party properties. Dinamo Productions produces stop-motion, 2D and 3D digital animation and visual effects for TV, film and the web, including Rastamouse and Iconicles.
