France Televisions has officially announced its new executive appointments in the children’s and youth division, which supplies programming across the pubcaster’s network of channels—France 3 (six to 12s), France 5 (preschool) and France 4 (teens and adult animation).
The appointments follow a lengthy reorganization process of the entire kids department, which began late last year and included the departure of the head of kids and youth, Julien Borde, who was upped to the general secretary of programs of France 3.
As of the beginning of this month, Pierre Siracusa is the head of animation for the child and youth division, where he is charged with the creative development of animated works for all France Télévisions broadcasts. All editorial managers for preschool animation and young children, animation for six- to 12-year-olds and family, as well as hybrid programs and new formats, will report directly to him.
And effective September 1, Tiphaine de Raguenel will take on the role of head of children and youth activities, where she’ll be in charge of developing the children and youth programming for the division. The division’s manager, acquisitions manager and deputy unit director will report directly to de Raguenel. She will also act as an intermediary between the digital strategy department and the department of diversification and revenue of France Télévisions.
