WBCP makes Tom and Jerry master toy deal

Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA has named toy manufacturer Giochi Preziosi as the master toy licensee for Tom and Jerry in Western Europe and Turkey.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA has named toy manufacturer Giochi Preziosi as the master toy licensee for Tom and Jerry in Western Europe and Turkey.

The new three-year deal will see Giochi produce a range of toys, including figure assortments, play sets and action games, that will roll out in Europe in late 2012 and continue throughout 2013.

Tom and Jerry, which first aired 70 years ago, can currently be seen on Cartoon Network and Boomerang across Europe and other regional broadcasters include Italia 1 (Italy), France 3, TVE and Boing (Spain), kabel 1 (Germany), Cartoonito (UK), the STAR channel (Greece), Puls (Poland), and Ren TV (Russia).

Warner Bros. Consumer Products also has plans to license Tom and Jerry products for preschoolers into Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the Nordics.
