Activision Publishing and Disney Interactive have partnered to produce and distribute a Wreck-it Ralph video game for Nintendo systems based on the upcoming feature film of the same name from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The game, which is designed as a classic, arcade-style side scroller, will launch this fall for the Nintendo Wii console and 3DS and DS handheld systems in advance of the November 2 film premiere.

Wreck-it Ralph, directed by Rich Moore (The Simpsons, Futurama) and featuring a voice cast including John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch, follows the story of Ralph, a misunderstood villian in his own arcade game who sets out on an adventure to prove he is actually a hero. His journey through the arcade ends up spanning every generation of video games.

The new Wreck-it Ralph game sees Ralph partner with Fix-It Felix, the hero of the game, to save their friends and home from an invasion of Cy-Bugs.
