Twenty-four hour US preschool channel Sprout, health-themed  series Lazytown, and First Lady Michelle Obama are joining forces to promote active lifestyles for preschoolers with the launch of three new public service announcements.

The new series of Sprout-produced PSAs, entitled Let’s Move!, target kids ages two to five and feature Sprout’s host of The Sunny Side Up Show, Chica the Chicken, action hero Sportacus from Lazytown and the First Lady.

Shot in the East Room of The White House, the three new PSAs (Remember Play, Duck, Duck, Chicken and Chicken Reporter) air every day on Sprout at 2:00 p.m. ET and every Saturday morning on the new NBC Kids block from July 28.

First Lady Michelle Obama launched the Let’s Move! movement to help solve the problem of childhood obesity within a generation.

The Let’s Move! PSA series runs in conjunction with Sprout’s Kindness Counts initiative which launched in August 2011. In support of active lifestyles for kids, Sprout is set to focus the second year of Kindness Counts with a special interactive web section on SproutOnline.com that will link to the Let’s Move! website.
