Canadian kidcaster Teletoon has launched two mobile apps based on two of its teen series, My Babysitter’s a Vampire and Skatoony.

The apps, launched ad-free, will generate revenue through one-time purchases, either in-app or through the App Store.

iPhone and iPod touch app Humans vs. Vampires, based on the online game of the same name, was developed by Toronto-based interactive agency Secret Location and launched Aug. 31 to coincide with the second season premiere of My Babysitter’s a Vampire Sept. 6 on Teletoon.

The badge system game lets users play as either a human or vampire, as with the online game, through five levels and five different opponents.

The game is free to download, with a one-time 99 cent in-app upgrade that lets players unlock five “good guys” and five undead characters.

Find The Earl is developed by marblemedia and based on the company’s Skatoony, an animation and live-action kids trivia show, and  can be purchased through the App Store for $1.99.

It features the show’s host Chudd Chudders travelling around the world to rescue co-host The Earl and save the show from being cancelled.
