Saban Brands has named L.A.-based MarVista Entertainment as the global television distributor for its brand new 2D-animated preschool series Julius Jr., based on the bestselling Paul Frank brand.
Twenty-six half-hour episodes of the new series, produced by Saban Brands and Brain Power Studio, are currently in production with MarVista planning to debut Julius Jr. at MIP Junior.
The series follows the imaginative adventures of Julius Jr. the monkey and his friends who learn how to make inventions from everyday objects that come to life in a box that turns into a magical playhouse.
Saban also has plans to launch a global consumer products program based on the series.
