Gumball gets greenlight for season three

Turner Broadcasting has greenlit the third season of The Amazing World of Gumball, the first series to emerge from its Cartoon Network Studio Europe arm.

Turner Broadcasting has greenlit the third season of The Amazing World of Gumball, the first series to emerge from its Cartoon Network Studio Europe arm.

Created by Ben Bocquelet, the series combines 2D and 3D animation with live-action footage to follow the 12-year-old titular character and his adventures in the strange town of Elmore and was .

In the US, Gumball‘s second season premiere in August was the highest rated show among boys two to 11 and six to 11, as well as number-one in its time period among kids two to 11 and six to 11.

Turner Broadcasting has commissioned a total of 40 x 11-minute eps.
