A perennial performer for Turner’s nets around the globe, that famous animated duo Tom and Jerry is getting reboot for this century in a new half-hour toon being produced by Warner Bros. Animation for Cartoon Network.

The Tom and Jerry Show in its latest incarnation will feature two 11-minute segments per episode and finds the two frenemies taking their game of cat-and-mouse out of the city and into fantastical worlds like medieval castles and a mad scientist’s lab.

The reborn rivalry, however, will continue to preserve the look, feel and core characters depicted in the classic Tom and Jerry theatrical shorts. Sam Register is serving as exec producer for Warner Bros., which is working with producers Darrell Van Citters and Ashley Postlewaite at Renegade Animation.
