Port Washington, New York-based market research firm The NPD Group is launching new US-focused toy retail tracking service in December.
The service will capture close to 80% of activity at US retailers and produce point-of-sale data in 99 different toy categories. Available on a monthly as well as a weekly basis, NPD is promising enhanced data mining tools and capabilities that will give users detailed information on brands and the ability to accurately analyse competitive item-level information.
