The Jim Henson Company and lifestyle/entertainment media distributor Gaiam Vivendi (GV) have entered into a new multi-year distribution deal for a number of iconic Henson properties including Fraggle Rock.
The deal sees Gaiam take exclusive physical and digital home video distribution rights for specific properties in the US and digital distribution in Canada.
GV will distribute a new Fraggle Rock DVD in 2013 to coincide with the brand’s 30th anniversary celebration and release Henson family titles including Emmet Otter’s Jugband Christmas, The Hoobs and Animal Show with Stinky and Jake, along with the brand new Fraggle Rock preschool spin-off Doozers.
The previously unreleased Henson series Construction Site will also debut and GV will launch the Henson catalog across its range of digital partners beginning in December 2012.
