Carl Lumbard joins FME as kids and family strategist

FremantleMedia Enterprises has appointed licensing veteran Carl Lumbard to the newly created position of head of licensing strategy and business development, kids and family entertainment for EMEA.

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has appointed 20-year licensing veteran Carl Lumbard to the newly created position of head of licensing strategy and business development, kids and family entertainment for EMEA.

Starting this week, Lumbard will report to FME’s EVP of licensing for EMEA, Mark Newton, and EMEA licensing and entertainment SVP, Dominic Burns. He will be responsible for the commercial development of FME’s properties within its kids and family portfolio across EMEA while providing a link between the L.A.-based kids and family entertainment content team and the licensing, home entertainment and television distribution teams across EMEA.

Lumbard joins FME from his most recent position as 20th Century Fox’s SVP and MD of licensing and merchandising for EMEA. He spent 14 years at Fox and previously held titles at Promotional Partners Worldwide and Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

During his career, he managed many popular brands globally including Ice Age and The Simpsons.

FME’s kids division currently has more than 15 titles in production globally spanning preschool, kids’ comedy, action/adventure and tween/teen genres with brands including Tree Fu Tom, Wizards vs. Aliens, Monsuno and Strange Hill High.
