Further extending its growth in Asia and in advance of the upcoming Asia Television Forum, Spain’s Imira Entertainment has sewn up a raft of new sales in the region for its hit kids series including Sandra, The Fairytale Detective.
Through a deal with distributor Thaole Entertainment, Vietnam’s Hanoi TV/Ho Chi Minh TV has secured Free TV rights to Lola & Virginia (52 x 12-minutes) and the 52 x 13-minute animated Sandra, The Fairytale Detective.
Media Corp TV12 has also acquired Sandra, The Fairytale Detective for Free TV Singapore and CH-9 Media has grabbed the series for Free TV in Malaysia.
Rounding out the deals are Zee Learn TV Channel picking up Free and Pay TV rights to Vitaminix (104 x two-minutes) for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and Good TV nabbing cable and satellite rights to Saari (39 x three-minutes) for Taiwan and the Philippines.
The latest deals follow on the heels of South Korea’s Tooniverse picking up Pay TV rights and Malaysia’s RTM acquiring Free TV rights to Imira’s hit animated series Lucky Fred . Additional Asian broadcasters already on board with the series include Nickelodeon Asia and South Korea and Disney India.
Imira will also be shopping its acclaimed 26 x five-minute claymation preschool series Koki at Asia Television Forum. The series was recently acquired for global third party distribution from producers PPM Multimedia, Cinenic and Children Television Workshop.
