Scholastic is set to release a new standalone eBook, The 39 Clues: Cahill Files: Silent Night, for kids ages eight to 12 based on its multiplatform adventure series The 39 Clues.

The eBook will be available on December 25, 2102 at online retailers and will include a free collectible digital game card, as well as a special excerpt from Scholastic’s latest multi-media time travel series, Infinity Ring #1: A Mutiny in Time.

To date, The 39 Clues series has 15 million copies in print in 27 countries worldwide, and includes hundreds of collectible game cards and an online game with more than two million registered users that allows readers to play a role in the story and compete for prizes.

The latest release comes after Scholastic’s recent announcement that it will launch a new spin-off cycle, The 39 Clues: Unstoppable, in October 2013.
