The Jim Henson Company has struck a deal with India’s Zee channel that sees it pick up all 66 x half-hour episodes of preschool series Sid the Science Kid for its new Zee-Q edutainment channel.

The new deal further expands the property’s list of international broadcasters and comes on the heels of France 5, TVO (Canada), PBS (Thailand), and Discovery Kids (Latin America) licensing season two, and TVB Pearl (Hong Kong), One Batswana Television, and NOGA (Israel) licensing season one. The series airs in the US on PBS Kids.

Henson is also taking its new Sid the Science Kid feature film, which is its first Chinese co-production, along with its complete catalog of programming to the upcoming Asia Television Forum and Asian Animation Summit and will focus on meeting potential co-production partners.
