Toronto, Canada-based indie developer Little Guy Games has released Super Snack Time, a new app for kids ages nine and up, and inked a licensing deal with toyco Monster Factory.

The free arcade game app, which is now available for iOS devices and is Little Guy’s third original IP, lets users play as Hoggy, a fearless hedgehog who must defend the world from an invasion by evil creatures called Gobblens. Players can also collect coins for weapon upgrades, costumes and power-ups.

The new licensing deal with Toronto-based Monster Factory will see the boutique toy company create plush toys based on Super Snack Time characters, and will be available for sale at www.monsterfactory.net.

Little Guy previously worked with CBS Interactive to develop the licensed iOS game Mighty Mouse: My Hero.
