Online game developer PlayPlus has launched Cantasia, a new kid-friendly social gaming hub on Facebook based on the stereoscopic 3D series Canimals.

The hub, which brings characters from the Voozclub, Aardman Animations and BRB Internacional series to the US for the first time, lets kids customize their own Cantasia cities and complete quests. Cantasia will initially feature one mini-game, Canimals Match 3, with more planned to launch.

Canimals Match 3 will head to mobile in December and be available exclusively from Samsung Apps for the first three weeks after launch.

The 52 x seven-minute series, which is top-rated throughout Asia and in South Korea and Taiwan, features the adventures of several can-shaped, CGI animals, and the mischief that they get up to in the real, live-action world.

Canimals animated characters are currently licensed in more than 35 countries and distributed in over 25 countries.

Cantasia can be accessed by visiting apps.facebook.com/Cantasia.
