DQ Entertainment International has named toyco Sun-Mate Corporation as the master global toy partner for the new CGI-animated TV series The Jungle Book.
Terms of the appointment will see Sun-Mate create a variety of toys based on the series including play sets, figurines, plush, electronic toys, walkie-talkies, role-play and outdoor adventure sets which will be previewed at the 2013 Hong Kong Toy Fair, New York Toy Fair, Nuremberg Toy Fair and The Australian Toy Fair.
The latest deal follows on the heels of Sun-Mate being named as The Jungle Book master toy licensee in North America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa by California-based SMC Entertainment.
SMC holds North American rights for home entertainment, licensing, merchandising and promotional rights for the series, while DQ Entertainment (DQE) is the producer and global rights owner.
The Jungle Book currently airs in 165 countries worldwide and has a more than 100 licensees globally.
