The 2013 Kidscreen Summit conference agenda is officially live online at summit.kidscreen.com/2013/agenda/expanded/ featuring more than 75 keynotes, panel discussions, presentations, debates and networking/pitching formats spread out over three days and a fourth Master Classes and meetings–only day.
Agenda highlights include an opening day, can’t miss keynote presentation entitled “The Tao of Homer: Lessons in Creativity and Innovation from The Simpsons” by the long-running show’s writer and co-executive producer, Joel Cohen.
With digital content evolving like never before, a new highlight to the Summit is the Digital Dimension Spotlight series that focuses on some of the industry’s most prominent digital content platforms. This must-attend series features insights from Amazon Studios’ director, Roy Price and head of development, Tara Sorensen, as well as YouTube’s global head of entertainment partnerships, Alex Carloss, who’ll be joined by reps from the video giant’s top-performing youth channels, including Brian Robbins of AwesomenessTV.
In addition, the always popular Pitch It! competition returns with a focus on Second Screen Engagement. The competition will showcase three projects in development that have second-screen interactivity built in that lets kids interact with the TV and a secondary device simultaneously. Projects are being accepted for consideration until Friday, December 14, and the application form can be found here.
Other key highlights include an original study presentation from Kid Industries Gary Pope on The Global Child for the always popular Kid Insight Day, and Cartoon Network’s SVP of research, Jeffrey Grant will also unveil original research in a presentation entitled “What Do Kids Find Funny?”
