4K Media, a subsidiary of Konami Digital Entertainment that manages the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise outside of Asia, is catering to the brand’s older fans by licensing Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card artwork.

National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) has taken on the license to produce action figures, headknockers, collectible replicas, puzzles, jewelry, posters, calendars and accessories that will utilize artwork from Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game.  The worldwide (excluding Asia) exclusive deal is designed to allow 4K Media to tap into the older collector fan base.  The product is expected to launch in time for Comic-con International: San Diego and will continue to roll out through the end of the year at specialty, hobby and comic book stores worldwide excluding Asia.

4K Media is also creating a line of the games using the WizKids HeroClix and Dice Building Game platform, Quarriors, that will feature the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated library.

Under the agreement, WizKids will produce a line of games based on the TV series.  The first HeroClix release will feature 50 collectible HeroClix figures released with a two player Starter and Booster expansion packs.  The product is expected to hit the market later this year with additional sets being released throughout 2014.  Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix and Dice Building Games will be available at specialty, hobby and comic book stores worldwide excluding Asia.

Since 2001, the boys-centric Yu-Gi-Oh! brand has been the center of trading card games, an animated television series and motion picture releases.
