Toronto, Canada-based Brunico Communications, parent company of Kidscreen, has announced it is organizing STREAM, what it touts as a first-of-its-kind marketplace and conference for original Internet TV programming.

The event, to be held in Santa Monica, California between June 3 and 4, is aimed at bringing together independent production companies with development executives, media agencies, brand managers at companies that commission and support screen-entertainment content.

Brunico puts on the highly successful Kidscreen and Realscreen summits, as well as publishes those industry publications. It also publishes Canadian industry trade magazines strategy  and Playback and stages events tied to those brands.

“Last year represented an amazing shift in the premium content market with the release of significant new funding for original programming from leading online and streaming video companies,” said company president and CEO Russell Goldstein, in a statement.

“We believe that Internet TV is altering the entertainment landscape forever, and that leading providers must invest heavily in original programming to differentiate themselves.  Stream will be ground zero for the breakthrough digital-first programs of tomorrow,” he added.

The company also disclosed the members of STREAM’s advisory board, which includes Morgan Spurlock (Warrior Poets), Erin McPherson (Yahoo!), Ran Harnevo (AOL On Network), Drew Buckley (Electus) and Chris Bruss (Funny Or Die).
