Staying true to its strategy to offer more modes of digital distribution, DHX Media is bringing 800 hours of its children’s titles to new SVOD service Kidoodle.TV.

The new OTT platform has picked up such titles as Inspector Gadget, Rastamouse, Strawberry Shortcake, Busytown Mysteries, Bo on the GO! and Franny’s Feet for its North American service that’s set to launch this summer.

DHX Media has also signed VOD and SVOD deals for its programming across new territories.

Nordisk Film Production has licensed the SVOD rights to Inspector Gadget non-exclusively in the Nordic territory; while Watchever, the Vivendi company that recently launched a SVOD service in Germany, has secured various DHX Media titles, such as Franny’s Feet and Hurray for Huckle, to join other DHX Media shows already existing on the platform.

Qwik Entertainment has licensed over 225 half hours of programming for its SVOD service in India. Titles include The Adventures of Paddington Bear and Dennis the Menace.

Triplay Digital Content, meanwhile, has taken a number of shows for DSTVO in South Africa for VOD broadcast. Content includes Caillou, Arthur and Mona the Vampire.

The deals follow a recent VOD agreement between DHX and Midwest Tape’s digital platform Hoopla.
