Karen K. Miller, who joined the House of Mouse in 2011, has been promoted from executive director to VP of programming strategy, acquisitions and co-productions at Disney Channels Worldwide.
Reporting to programming strategy SVP Paul DeBenedittis, Miller will continue to oversee the global acquisitions process, sourcing live-action and animated series and movies for Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior worldwide. Plus, s he’s responsible for directing the development of overall scheduling strategies to ensure regional and local programming plans are consistent with global priorities. She also still steers co-productions for Disney Channels Worldwide, and is Disney Channels’ lead rep at annual TV and entertainment markets.
Prior to joining Disney, Miller worked in development, production and distribution for Atlantyca Entertainment and was an animation associate producer on Fox’s feature film The Simpsons Movie. She spent the previous 18 years at Warner Bros., last serving as VP of property acquisitions for consumer products.
