On-demand opportunities continue to knock at Zodiak Kids, which has secured new deals with global providers for series such as Rekkit Rabbit, Gormiti and Totally Spies.

French VOD operator Ace Entertainment has picked up more than 270 episodes of Zodiak programming, including Marathon Media’s Totally Spies (seasons one to five) and Martin Mystery (seasons one to three), as well as animated series Street Football (seasons one to three) from Tele Images Productions.

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group has licensed Famous Five and Rekkit Rabbit for its maxdome VOD portal in Germany, while Vivendi bought more than 180 episodes for its newly launched Watchever SVOD service (www.watchever.de) in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The package includes Famous Five, Gormiti, Street Football and Team Galaxy.

In the Nordic region, Film Egmont has picked up hit UK preschool show Little Princess (season one) for its SVOD platform App Minbio.

And Turkish kids pay-TV channel Smart Çocuk has secured the SVOD & TVOD rights in Turkey and Turkish-speaking Northern Cyprus to Tele Images’ The Ranch and Sally Bollywood (seasons one and two) and Zodiak Active’s The Q-Piz for its D-Smart Blu service.

Last month, Zodiak Kids announced a US deal with Hulu and Hulu Plus for all three seasons of Gormiti, and Netflix recently acquired the SVOD rights to the full package of Zodiak Kids’ CBeebies arts and crafts show Mister Maker for Latin America.
