With ever-growing consumer products deals and YouTube views, The Annoying Orange brand is solidifying its TV presence with a second season run on Cartoon Network US.

Annoying Orange will kick-off its second season on May 16.  The first season of The High Fructose Adventure of Annoying Orange will follow on DVD on May 28.

The renewal comes as the show’s freshman season, which debuted last June, averaged close to two million viewers for all premiere episodes.  The second season features guest voices including Dave Grohl, Rainn Wilson, Al Yankovic, Kellan Lutz, Olivia Munn, Gilbert Gottfried Maria Menounos and Kendall Jenner.

Annoying Orange originated from the hugely popular viral video and Web series, which has garnered more than one billion views.  The TV series is developed by its web creator The Collective along with scribe Tom Sheppard (Pinky and the Brain).  The Collective’s Michael Green, Gary Binkow and Dan Weinstein serve as executive producers.
