Suzanne Wilson has joined Canadian public media outlet TVO as children‘s acquisitions officer for TVOKids.
Wilson is now charged with selecting, screening and evaluating potential children’s acquisitions, pre-buys and co-productions across TVOKids’ multiplatform content. She will also establish relationships with distributors, indie producers and global companies.
Wilson has previously held positions in children’s media at BBC Canada, Breakthrough Entertainment, Centennial College and The itsy bitsy Entertainment Company. She succeeds Frances James, who retired last monht after holding the position of children’s acquisitions officer for more than two decades.
TVOKids airs daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and its coinciding website is now home to more than 170 educational games.
