Imira signs deals in Europe and Hong Kong

A number of global sales deals have been inked by Spanish youth production and distribution company Imira Entertainment in the wake of this month’s MIPTV market.

Italian Telecom has picked up The Happets from La Tropa de Trapo (52 x seven minutes) for SVOD, while DeAKids has bought Lola & Virginia (52 x 12 minutes) for Pay TV. Also in the region, SIC has picked up movies of H2O, Just Add Water! from Jonathan M. Shiff and ZDF Enterprises (two x 90 minutes) for Pay TV in Portugal. Millimages’ Me & My Robot (52 x 11 minutes) has sold to TV3 in Catalunya, Spain.

In Northern Europe, Imira has signed a deal with DR, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, for the CGI comedy The Wish Fish from Baleuko (1 x 74 minutes) and the adventures of Sandra the Fairytale Detective (52 x 13 minutes, pictured). The latter has also been scooped up by VMMA in Belgium for both free and Pay TV.

Sandra the Fairytale Detective will also join the repertoire of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) for free TV.
